Adele - Someone Like You (king ransum lean'd out remix)

-- Adele's sophomore album 21 soars to the #1 position on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart with over 350,000 copies sold this week. To date, Adele's 21 is the biggest selling album of 2011. This amazing U.S. debut comes hot on the heels of Adele's massive international success where 21 entered charts at #1 in the U.K., Ireland, Austria, New Zealand, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium and Canada. After delivering a jaw dropping performance of her song "Someone Like You" at The Brit Awards on February 15, that live performance immediately shot to the top of the U.K. singles chart. Also that week Adele's single "Rolling In The Deep" was at #4 with her two albums both occupying the #1 (21) and #4 (19) positions on the UK album chart. This feat has earned Adele the distinction of being the only living artist to tie the Beatles 1964 record of having two entries in the top 5 on both U.K. singles and album charts. Released in Europe on January 24, Adele's 21 has dominated the UK album chart in the #1 position for five weeks straight. This week Adele occupies the #1 and #2 positions on the UK album chart with 21 and 19 respectively.
Praised for her incredible vocal ability and sincere songwriting, the critics cannot stop raving about Adele and 21. Associated Press declared "Adele, who is now 22, has created more than just an album with good songs: she's crafted a masterpiece." Entertainment Weekly's assessment of the new music affirms that "21 is that rarest pop commodity: timeless," while the Los Angeles Times suggests that Adele "is towering in the same landscape where some of her contemporaries have lost their bearings." -KING RANSUM-

SHE'S GONE & LIFE GOES ON..

The one you always thought you'd be with forever, even though you knew it was childish of you to think so.

The one who would spoon with you and giggle at the light breaths you'd make on her neck.

The one who would yell at the tv whenever attractive girls was mentioned.

The one who would put her head on your chest at night, lightly tapping your heart's rhythm against your shoulder until she dozed off and woke again in the morning.

The one you'd soothe and give back rubs to as she complained.

The only one who could calm you down.

The one whose hair smelled like coconuts and pure eroticism.

The one you poked in the stomach because she'd give off the most adorable squeak.

The one you'd open your coat for in the winter, as you both were posted on the block.

The one you opened yourself to in every way...is gone.

You're sitting in bed, propped up with the extra pillows you now have, drinking until your liver turns into a useless piece of jerky. Everything you've said, done, and felt... all being analyzed under a microscope and you're so ashamed of yourself you want to bury yourself and inhale the dirt. Your brain is shocking violently as you pop half a linty xanax you found in an old pants pocket reality slaps the shit out of you ….SHE’S GONE & LIFE GOES ON!!! -KING-

Young Jeezy’s Security Beats NYC Gun Charges; ‘Hip-Hop Police’ Unit Name Revealed

The “Hip-Hop Police” were scrutinized this morning during a court hearing involving security for internationally known rap star Young Jeezy.

Jeezy’s head of security, Stephen Helin, was in court today (September 21th), over an incident after a concert featuring rapper Jay-Z at Madison Square Garden in March of 2010.

Stephen Helin and several other members of Young Jeezy’s security detail were arrested after the concert on March 3rd, 2010, around 5:00AM, with at least five guns.

Each defendant was facing a mandatory minimum of 3.5 years, under New York’s strict anti-gun laws, which have resulted in jail time for celebrities like Lil Wayne, Ja Rule, Prodigy, Plaxico Burress and others.

According to Stephen Helin’s lawyer Scott Leemon ESQ., the specific facts of the case forced the New York County D.A.’s office to reduce the felony gun charges to misdemeanors.

“Today, right before the scheduled Suppression Hearing in New York County Supreme Court, the New York County DA’s office, because of the specific facts of this case, offered the defendants an opportunity to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree with a promised sentence of a Conditional Discharge (requires no probation supervision) and a $1000 fine,” Scott Leemon ESQ., told AllHipHop.com.

Each man was licensed and had a permit to carry their guns, but only in the state of Georgia. At the time of their arrest, the guns were found in locked boxes, not on any one person.

Leemon said that prosecutors decided to reduce the gun charges to misdemeanors, due to thequestionable tactics by the “Hip-Hop Police,” which AllHipHop.com has learned is now officially known as “Enterprise Operation Unit.”

“They were facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 3.5 years in State Prison if convicted of any of the charges in the indictment before the plea,” Scott Leemon ESQ. told AllHipHop.com. “The defendants accepted the People’s offer and the hearing never went forward. Justice Charles Solomon accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for November 29, 2011.”

The police allegedly did not want to jeopardize any ongoing investigations, although more specifics about who is being targeted was not available.

Leemon said that during today’s hearing, his plan was to expose the “Hip-Hop Police” and whether or not Young Jeezy’s security detail’s Constitutional rights had been violated.

Prosecutors decided to drastically reduce the charges, resulting in the cancellation of the hearing.

“The hearing was scheduled to focus on the methods and means used by the Hip Hop Police (a/k/a “Enterprise Operation Unit”) in the arrest of the defendants in this case; and, specifically whether the stop of the van and seizure of evidence was legal under the law in the State of New York,” Scott Leemon told AllHipHop.com.

Young Jeezy was not available for comment as of press time. -KING-

Lil Boosie Reaches Out To ‘Beyond Scared Straight’ To Help Teen

Incarcerated rapper Lil’ Boosie has reached out to a young man featured on A&E’s TV series “Beyond Scared Straight”, who said he was influenced by the rapper. The boy, who hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, was taken to the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, during a scene that was featured during the opening episode of the second season of “Beyond Scared Straight,” which premiered in August.

When the teen was approached by several guards who asked why he was continuously in and out of trouble, the boy replied that he was influenced by his favorite rapper, Lil Boosie.

The teen’s reply drew outrage from the guards, but Lil Boosie himself found no humor in the situation and decided to take action.

The rapper, who is incarcerated in Angola State Prison and facing the death penalty over a first-degree murder charge, decided to write a letter to Alex.

Lil Boosie’s first cousin “AKA Donkey” read a letter that the incarcerated rapper wrote to Alex and other fans who view him as a role model.

“Alex I was told that you said you were smoking and misbehaving because I smoke,” Lil Boosie wrote to the teen. “Well you can be better than me. You don’t want a marijuana addiction because it leads to trouble as you can see. Look at me I’ve been imprisoned 2 years for smoking marijuana. Was it worth it? Hell no. When you are imprisoned your away from everything that you love and that’s a hurting feeling.”

Lil Boosie explained that most of his friends were dead or in jail. He also warned Alex to choose his friends wisely. “Look at your role model. I’m facing the death penalty because my friends lied on me,” Lil Boosie said. “I was told you have a mother and father who are trying their best to help you. That’s a blessing because most kids who are on the path that you are on don’t have that.”

According to Alex’s mother, since her son has spoken to Boosie’s cousin Donkey and read the letter himself, he has been staying out of trouble.

She also said that Alex seems more positive and goal oriented.

The outreach to Alex was initiated by the “U Hatin’?” Universitie’s “Truth Campaign,” where rap artists explain the difference between the messages in their music, and the messages they deliver to their own children. -KING-

Black Mafia Family’s Bleu Davinci Released From Jail

Rapper Bleu Davinci has been released from prison.

The rapper was serving a four year sentence for involvement in the drug dealing organization/Hip Hop production company, Black Mafia Family. A player in BMF, slinging vast amounts of cocaine, Davinci (born Barima McKnight), was also the group’s main hip hop artist. He reputedly raked in around $270,000 during his drug dealing stint.

Bleu’s release from jail sees him getting busy in the studio. He has already recorded a track with Maybach Dice of Maybach Music Group. The collaboration couldn’t be more fitting, given MMG’s CEO Rick Ross’ success with B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast), a tribute to Black Mafia boss Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.

“I’ve recorded like 50 or 60 records since I’ve been home,” Bleu said in an interview with AllHipHop.com, “I just officially got home on Friday, shooting a bunch of videos and virals…got alot going on right now.”

He went on to speak about the BMF-MMG collaboration track Feds On Me.

“The record is talking about the Feds is on me, a nervous motherfucker,” he said. “Basically, that’s what the records about, being nervous. From what’s happened in past situations and that everything you doing, the people are watching you.”

Bleu’s arrest in 2008 looked like it could put the breaks on his rap career, but this recent collaboration seems to suggest otherwise. -KING-

ASK ME ANYTHING vol. 3

Anonymous asked: Dear KING... I am in highschool, and I ended up falling in love with this exchange student from Spain, when I met her I liked her, but was a bit turned off by her partying and previous history.. She liked to play a lot of games to get my attention in the beginning, anyways we dated a little bit, but the only place where I would see her was at school, but on the weekends it was like she was always busy and I could never see her, after a while that passed and we were still together, she changed from the ways, our relationship was not very smooth, I dealt with her moods, and she always though I was cheating if looked at someone else of if a girl came up and talked to me or hugged me, but I remained faithful, I held her while she cried, I looked in her eyes and told her I loved her, and I meant it, I never felt that way about anyone before, I kissed her, I let her come with me and my friends, I wasn't even embarrased that she was white and I'm black and I told her so many times she doubted me, I honestly tried to make her happy, she was my world, and we both ended up leaving where we were, she went back to Spain a few months ago and I moved to a new state, but we still tried to make things work.. but the day after she left she called me drunk telling me she had a new boyfriend, and all of these things.. now she won't even talk to me, and she is all I think about, She broke my heart, but what I want to know is was it wrong to fall in love in the first place?

KING say's...
Man y’all not bout to turn my blog into teen summit.
That bitch is gone.  -KING-

ASK ME ANYTHING vol. 2

Anonymous asked: i have a bit of an issue...and i see you've been giving some people advice.

For quite some time now, a guy by the name of Robert* and i have been..well..fucking. we fuck all the time. at his house mostly, or in my car. we really dont hang out unless we're gonna fuck. hes never invited me anywhere, never taken me out to dinner, he didnt even remember my birthday. but every time were together, hes so kind to me. he treats me so nicely, and tells me such lovely things. im torn between 2 points of view...1 being that this guys a fucking dick and just wants my pussy. or 2. that he does care for me, he just doesnt have time for me. but i care for him so much. i have no one to talk to about this, just because its my personal life...no ones business.

I ask him to hang out with me or go to dinner all the time and his answer is always no or that hes too busy......

I dont know how to pursue this man....or close this chapter.

I just cant understand why someone would play with someones emotions like this.
KING say's....
You are sideline pussy.
You are a warm hole to stick his dick in when he gets horny, nothing more.
The sooner you realize this, and accept this, the better. -KING-

ASK ME ANYTHING vol. 1

Anonymous : I'm 18 and I want to have kids when I'm 20/21 and I want to be married when I have them.. I've been with my girl since I was 15 on and off. No she was not one of my firsts, but I love her all the same. I can see myself with her for a large sum of my life. Or should I just have kids out of we? Let me know something..
KING say's.........
Legally, you’re grown.
But you’re still a child. Why are you worried about creating another life right now? How about you go see the world, find out who you really are…. start providing for yourself. Experience some hardship and learn what life is about…. instead of thinking about starting a family before your nuts have fully dropped yet.  -KING-

RANSUM STATE OF MIND

Ten minutes ago, I just went and picked up 8oz of dat mudd. I also picked up a copy of Fat Pat's - Ghetto Dreams.
I'm listening to it as I write because I had to "get my mind right" before I started this.

Track 12 TOPS DROP.........I start to smile.
It brings me back to a time when, although we all wanted Houston to blow up like it is now, all we cared about
was making sure we respected OUR music. Mayne I miss the old Houston............

You know you're from Houston if:
-on the drug tip LMAO buying 2 for $5 or 3 for $10 niggas rollin the sweets extra big (wasn't smoking then)

-Stores selling Single Newports (some still do)

-Ohhh @ starching the pants LOL

-wearing HILFIGER, POLO and NAUTICA

-EVERY hood had had that COOL dopefiend that used to shoot the shit and be talking shit, and didn't hide the fact
that he smoke LOL

-HOOD SHIT: late at night dopefiends walking around like its daylight or riding on bikes lolll

-Dopefiend nigga can fix ANYTHING!

-going to the BOOTLEG on Sundays (Acres Home)

-seeing the HOOKERS walk: especially on Waco in 5th Ward (shout out to the nickel!! used to chill on Dan & Hersche....
with the identical row houses and shit; niggas selling dope out of em)

-Going to the HOURLY rooms (Tweety's and if you nasty; THE BARRON on W. Montgomery!)

-when gas didn't cost much and rode on the South and the North

-Going to MACGREGOR PARK

-On MLK on Sundays

-Going to Lincoln City Park in the 44

-You remember Lil Flip used to go hard when he was wit Sucka Free...

-You remember when Original 84'z & 83'z was tha shit (before there was TWW)

-You know the beat to the June 27th freestyle.

-You remember when you first heard screw music.

-You can remember every word to the songs, "Bar Baby" and "Maaann."

-You remember " I got 25 lighters on my dresser ... "

-You never get tired of singing the hook to "Wanna be a Balla."

-You can sing a screwed song off the dome and remember when the chops come in, lol

-You know what comes after "draped up dripped out." (You knew this before Bun B's song).

-You can understand Yungstar when he is rapping.

-You think of classics in terms of music from Fat Pat, UGK, Big Moe, and Scarface.

You see, as fast as a few of our homeboys are reaching super-stardom (because they were our homeboys before any
MTV appearance or video on MTV), we're losing the very substance from which our spotlight came.

I ask myself, what happened to us? Where's OUR music at?

Remember when you could go to the Kappa Beach Party in Galveston and just dap-up Paul Wall and Slim Thug? Remember when they had
no body guards...no guest appearances from Pharrell or Lil Wayne...and they were getting dissed by the same stuck-up girl
that just dissed you and your homies?

Remember when you could give a CD to a DJ at 979, and he'd play it just because it jammed? Now, the only way you can get a
song played is if you have a deal, or you have thousands of dollars (see "payola" aka illegal).
With giant radio conglomerates taking over, and successful Houston rappers not helping spotlight the up-and-coming music
scene, we're losing it.

I remember groups like Beltway 8. No major deal, but you knew who they were and you knew a few of their songs. Same way
that the S.U.C. and Swisha House started out. But who can you name now that's getting radio play and you know their songs,
like we did with the other groups just a few years ago?

Ever since Southwest Wholesale went out of business, independent (aka TRUE) Houston music has been on the decline.
There was a time when all one had to do was get some money, press up CDs and get them in stores in "Tha H," but now,
it's nearly impossible.

I'm longing for the days of yesterday when the clubs ONLY played Houston music, and artists like Jay-Z, Young Jeezy,
and 50 Cent were only played when you needed to get a rest or when the club wasn't poppin'. I'm longing for the days
when the DJ at T-town or Max's (or Chocolate Town or Jamaica Jamaica for y'all older cats) would play DJ DMD's
"25 Lighters," then Keke's "Pimp tha Pen," followed by "3 in da Mornin'," Fat Pat's "Don't Knock My Hustle," "Superstar,"
"Tops Drop," and last but not least, he'd play "June 27th," and when Youngstar's verse would come in, drop the beat, and
the whole club would rap his verse line for line.
